INTODUCTION

Dil Bechara is an upcoming 2020 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age romantic drama film which is the directorial debut of Mukesh Chhabra. Based on John Green's 2012 novel The Fault in Our Stars,^[2] it stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Saif Ali Khan and debutante Sanjana Sanghi, and was initially titled Kizie Aur Manny (transl. Kizie and Manny). Filming commenced on 9 July 2018 in Jamshedpur.^[3]^[4] The film's release has been postponed multiple times, due to post-production delays and then again due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. It will release on 24 July 2020 on Disney+ Hotstar.^[5] It features the last posthumous film performance by Rajput, who died in June 2020. The film will be released to all subscribers in his honour.^[6] The film's official trailer, released on 6 July 2020, became the most liked trailer in the world within 24 hours of its release, beating Avengers: Endgame.^[7]
