Green Screen Vs Blue Screen + ( A guide On How To Use Them )

Green Screen V/S Blue Screen + A Guide To Use Which One In particular Circumstances 

One of my followers on Instagram asked me that why Hollywood use green screen more than blue one 

My Answer 

“ Needle And Sword Both Are Made Of The Iron But One Is Use In Battle And Another In HouseWork , Everything Have Their Pros And Cons ”

So Here Is The Reason To Use

• GREEN SCREEN PROS

 ———————————————

* Green reflects colour very bright and it's good if you want to make scenes bright

* In a shoot where water is included because of they will use blue screen it'll be too difficult to crop out water

• BLUE SCREEN PROS ———————————————

* Green is a very luminous colour so if you want your scene to look darker and serious tone use this one

* If in any scene tree's are involved you should use blue screen

* If the character is close to the screen use blue cause again green is a luminous colour

* If a character have blonde hair use blue screen cause it's hard to key blonde in blue screen

• GREEN SCREEN CONS

* Green screen spills a lot of green colour on its character because of its luminousity 

* If you have a low budget production

 ( ex - youtuber ) when you or your any body parts move fast , then you can clearly notice the green screen behind your body 

( only applies for low budget production )

• BLUE SCREEN CONS 

———————————————

* The Biggest and most infamous con ofà blue screen is that as a colour blue has a very low luminousity so while making a film makers have to use extra big budget lights to make blue screen work .

* In the clothing industry blue colour is more normal than green like - Denim , Tshirt 👕 and every other sort of things Hence the makers have to put extra efforts on clothing too  

In the end my advice to every aspiring filmmakers would be too give a lot of reading in colour pshycology, effects & Works before wasting your money in anything

• EXCEPTIONS

Like every chemistry chapter yup , there are some exceptions in this too there would be plenty of places where you'll see a blonde character in front of green screen or a the usage of blue screen while using the water and it's a complete director and artists vision and they know what they want to create in post production
